It started the business as "Spinning Accessories Pvt. Ltd" manufacturing Card & Gill Pins and Card Staves for Jute Mills. The name was changed to "Kingsley Corporation Pvt. Ltd" in 1973. In the year 1996, the Company changed its status from Pvt. Ltd to Ltd. organisation & was renamed as Kingsley Industries Ltd. In the year 1989 Kingsley diversified to manufacturing engineering products e.g. Oscimatic Actuators, Showers, Filters, Doctoring Systems, Doctor Holders, and Doctor Blades etc for paper mills, and strengthened its position as one of the leading manufacturer of consistent quality with focus in customer satisfaction, which is proven by regular increase in export of its products to Singapore, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Turkey, Burma, Thailand & Malaysia, and increase in domestic sales. In carding & processing of jute fibres, and in cleaning and conditioning applications in paper mills, Kingsley products are regarded as premium in respect to quality, life and service by the users in India and abroad.
