KIL offers two different strainer
technologies for removal of suspended particulate.
The type of strainer best suited for the
application is dependent upon the influent solid loading and mesh size selected.
For applications with total suspended
solids less than 1000 ppm and media retention requirements between 60-200 mesh (75-233
micron), the Gravity Strainer is the equipment of choice.
Gravity Strainer Applications
- Clear leg of disk save all
- Drum save all water
- Save all showers
- Vacuum pump seal to vacuum pumps
- Mill process water from press pans to showers
- DAF and setting clarifier water
- Uhle box separator water
- Heat economizer water
- Vacuum pump seal water to showers
- Decker to stock saver supply
- Acid water
Features/Benefits
- Sizing:
Capacity is a function of screen mesh size,
solids loading, and drainage characteristics of the solids (freeness)
- High flow rate:
Lower cost per litre processed
- High solids loading:
Economical sizing reduces
equipment requirements and cost with free solids upto 1000 ppm
- Uniform flow distribution system:
Evenly distributes
the flow to the screen, ensuring that the unit will operate to maximum capacity
- Continuous media cleaning with rotating shower system:
Optimum media cleaning for maximum throughput, minimal downtime and high efficiency
- Shower utilizes strainer accepts:
No fresh water
required
- Can use wide range of filter media:
Adaptable to many
applications. Synthetic filter screen between 60-250 mesh (75-233 microns) available
- Gravity feed operations:
Eliminates pumping cost,
simplifies system. The shower is the only movable part
- Stainless steel construction:
No maintenance. Long
life
